Even if you use a softphone that is not mentioned above, then you will still be able to use your headset together with your software. In this case, your headset will work just like a passive PC plug-and-play sound card with sound-in and sound-out features. This is probably how your softphone documentation describes the expected operating environment in its documentation.

There are two possible exceptions that may enable headset-based control of your softphone:
