Running and Using the Device Service
Purpose of the Device Service
The Jabra Device Service is a simple program that runs in the background, monitors your USB ports for Jabra devices and provides a link between your Jabra device and various types of PC applications. It enables the Jabra Control Center and Jabra softphone interfaces to interact with Jabra headsets.
Running the Device Service
When you install the Jabra PC Suite, you are presented with the option of running the Device Service and/or Skype Interface automatically each time you start Windows. If you selected one or both of these options, then the installer created shortcuts to these programs in your Windows Startup folder. In this case, you will never need to think about starting the Device
•To run the Device Service Manually, click on the Windows Start menu and
select All Programs > Jabra > Jabra PC Suite > Jabra Device Service.
•To run the Device Service automatically on startup, or to stop doing so, add or remove a shortcut for it in your Windows Startup folder. One way to get to this folder is to
•To quit the Device Service, use the context menu of the Jabra icon in the Windows Notification Area or the menu command of the Device Service settings window (see below).
