6 Maintenance
TCompletely dissolve the contents of one blister (3 JURA des- caling tablets) in a container that holds 500 ml of water. This may take several minutes.
TPour the solution into the empty water tank and insert it in the machine.
AGENT IN TANK, the maintenance button c lights up.
TRemove the frother.
TPlace a receptacle (at least 500 ml) under the Connector Sys- tem©.
cT Press the maintenance button.
DE-SCALING
This causes water to flow out of the Connector System© sev- eral times. The maintenance button blinks during the des- caling operation.
The operation stops automatically, EMPTY TRAY.
TEmpty the receptacle under the Connector System©.
TEmpty the drip tray and coffee grounds container and put them back into the machine.
FILL WATER TANK
TRemove the water tank and rinse it thoroughly.
TFill the water tank with fresh, cold mains water and rein- sert.
PRESS RINSE, the maintenance button c lights up.
TReplace the frother.
TPlace a receptacle under the frother.
cT Press the maintenance button.
TEmpty the drip tray and coffee grounds container and put them back into the machine.
The descaling operation is now complete. Your IMPRESSA heats up and is once again ready to use.
EIf the descaling operation stops unexpectedly, rinse the water tank thoroughly.
