Maintenance tips
Rinse machine
Your IMPRESSA has the following integrated maintenance pro- grammes:
ZRinse machine
ZFilter change
ZClean machine
ZDescale machine
ZRinse frother
ZClean frother
EClean or descale the machine or change the filter whenever the appropriate indicator lights up.
To ensure that you get many years of reliable service out of your IMPRESSA and to guarantee the optimum coffee quality, the machine requires daily maintenance.
You should proceed as follows:
ZEmpty the coffee grounds container and the drip tray. Rinse them with warm water.
ZRinse the water tank with clean water.
ZDismantle and rinse the frother (See Chapter 6 ‘Mainte- nance – Rinsing the frother’).
ZWipe the surface of the machine with a damp cloth.
When the IMPRESSA is switched on, a prompt to perform a rinse operation automatically appears after heating. When the IMPRESSA is switched off, each spout which was used for preparation is rinsed.
You can initiate the rinse operation manually at any time.
Precondition: READY is displayed.
TPlace a receptacle under the coffee spout.
TOpen the cover of the Rotary Switch.
kT Keep the Rotary Switch pressed until RINSE appears.
kT Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item.
gT Turn the Rotary Switch until RINSE is displayed.
