In the following examples of editing procedures, the processes are explained assuming that the unit is turned on.

To exit from the editing screen any time during the process, press TITLE/EDIT.

To return to the previous screen any time during the process, press CANCEL.

You cannot enter Title/Edit modes during Random play and Search Modes.

Library play, Album play, and Repeat play are canceled when you press TITLE/EDIT (Continuous play will resume).

Changing the Library Names—LIB. NAME

You can change the library names as you like.

The maximum number of the characters used for each library name is 64.

You cannot change the names for “Library TUNER” and “Library CD.”

Once you change a library name, the changed name will appear instead of the original library name.

When you want to change the album titles or the track titles, see “Assigning Titles to Albums and Tracks” on page 53.

On the remote control ONLY:

1 Press TITLE/EDIT repeatedly until “LIB. EDIT?” appears in the main display.

The source changes to “HDD” automatically if another source has been selected.

Each time you press the button, Title/Edit Modes change as follows:

TITLE? LIB. EDIT? ALBUM EDIT?

Canceled TRACK EDIT?

2 Press SET.

3 Press SET again.

The unit enters the library name entry mode.

Currently selected library appears.

4 Press LIBRARY to select a library (“Library 1”— “Library 10”) you want to change the name of, then press SET.

The library name entry screen appears in the main display.

5 Press CANCEL repeatedly until the previous name is completely erased.

6 Enter a new name referring to step 5 on page 53.

7 Press ENTER.

“HDD WRITING” appears and the HDD lamp flashes in red while the editing you have made is being stored in the HDD.

If you have performed the above procedure during play, HDD playback stops.

To restore original library names (when shipped from the factory)

Erasing all characters assigned to a library restores its original library name (“Library 1”—“Library 10”).
