Sharpening the voice sound

This function allows you to easily understand dialog recorded on the disc/file even with the volume down low. This function is useful when you are watching a movie.

Press [CLEAR VOICE].

This indicator lights up when the clear voice function is activated.

Each time you press [CLEAR VOICE], the clear voice function turns on and off.

This function is activated when a loaded disc or a connected USB mass storage class device is selected as the source.

If the clear voice function is activated when the K2 function has already been activated, the K2 function turns off automatically and the clear voice function turns on.

Selecting the headphone surround mode

You can listen to surround sound via headphones connected to the [PHONES] terminal.

This function is activated when a loaded disc or a connected USB mass storage class device is selected as the source.

When headphones are connected to the [PHONES] terminal

Press [HP SURROUND].

This indicator lights up when the headphone surround mode function is activated.

Each time you press [HP SURROUND], the set- ting toggles between “HP SURR ON” and “HP SURR OFF” in the display window.

If the headphone surround mode function is acti- vated when the K2 function has already been activated, the K2 function turns off automatically and the headphone surround mode function turns on.

NOTE

The [PHONES] terminal is for connecting a pair of headphones equipped with a stereo mini plug (not supplied). When headphones are con- nected, no sound is output from the speakers.

“HP SURR ON” is displayed in the display win- dow for a short time when headphones are dis- connected from the [PHONES] terminal and then connected to the [PHONES] terminal while the headphone surround mode function is on.
