Changing the VFP Setting

parameter you want to adjust.

 

 

The VFP (Video Fine Processor) function enables you to adjust the picture based on the picture tone, or personal preference.

There is a time limit in doing the following steps. If the setting is canceled before you finish, start from step 1 again.

&During playback

1 Press VFP.

The current VFP setting screen appears on the TV.

GAMMA OFF

BRIGHTNESS +0

CONTRAST +0

SATURATION +0

TINT+0

SHARPNESS +0

Ex.: When “NORMAL” is selected.

2 Press cursor 3 / 2 repeatedly to select the VFP mode.

Each time you press the button, the VFP mode changes as follows.

NORMAL CINEMA USER1 USER2

(back to the beginning)

Adjust the parameters so that the picture you are viewing appears as you prefer.

GAMMA

Adjust if the neutral color is bright or dark.

 

The brightness of dark and bright portions is

 

maintained.

 

Available range: OFF, 1 (darkest) to 3

 

(brightest)

 

 

BRIGHTNESS

Adjust if the picture is bright or dark as a

 

whole.

 

Available range: –8 (darkest) to +8

 

(brightest)

 

 

CONTRAST

Adjust if the far and near position is

 

unnatural.

 

Available range: –7 to +7

 

 

SATURATION

Adjust if the picture is whitish or blackish.

 

Available range: –7 (most blackish) to +7

 

(whitest)

 

 

TINT

Adjust if the human skin color is unnatural.

 

Available range: –7 to +7

 

 

SHARPNESS

Adjust if the picture is indistinct.

 

Available range: –8 to +8

 

 

NORMAL

Normally select this.

CINEMA

Suitable for a movie source.

 

 

USER1/USER2

You can adjust parameters that affect the

 

appearance of picture and can store the

 

settings (see below).

 

 

To turn off the VFP setting screen

Press VFP.

If no operations are done for about 10 seconds

The VFP setting screen disappears.

3 Press ENTER.

VFP parameters list disappears, and the following pop-up window for the selected item appears on the TV.

To adjust the appearance of the picture

You can adjust the appearance of picture and store in “USER1” and “USER2.”

&During playback

1 Press VFP, then press cursor 3 / 2 repeatedly to select “USER1” or “USER2.”

CONTRAST +0

SATURATION +0

TINT+0

SHARPNESS +3

Ex.: When “USER1” is selected.

4 Press cursor / 5 repeatedly to select the setting, then press ENTER.

Your adjustment is stored and the current VFP parameter list appears again.

5 Repeat steps 2 to 4 to adjust other parameters.

To turn off the VFP setting screen

Press VFP.

To activate your setting

Press VFP, then press cursor 3 / 2 repeatedly to select “USER1” or “USER2.”

If no operations are done for about 10 seconds

The VFP setting screen disappears.
