When the playback source is a multi-channel software, it will be played back as a 2-channel source.

2 Start playing the source—FM, AM, disc player, or auxiliary equipment connected to the AUX IN jacks.

3 Press KARAOKE repeatedly while holding down SHIFT until “MIC MIX” appears on the display.

Each time you press the buttons, the Karaoke mode changes as follows.

4 Turn MIC LEVEL and VOLUME as you sing into the microphone(s).

By pressing REC START/STOP, you can record your singing along if you want. (See page 47.)

By pressing ECHO while holding down SHIFT, you can apply echo effect to your voice. (See page 50.)

While playing back a disc, you can adjust the key to fit to your tone.

If the playing disc is a multiplex Karaoke disc

You can enjoy multiplex sound by pressing AUDIO (see page 41).

7To use microphone only

Without any background sound, you can use your microphone(s), and record it if you want.

1 Connect the microphone(s).

2 Press the disc number button of which a disc is loaded while holding down SHIFT (or press the disc number on the front panel), then 7.

3 Press KARAOKE repeatedly while holding down SHIFT until “MIC MIX” appears on the display.

If no disc is loaded on the selected disc tray in step 2, KARAOKE button does not work.

By pressing ECHO while holding down SHIFT, you can apply echo effect to your voice. (See page 50.)

Each time you press the buttons, the Karaoke mode changes as follows.

Take the following actions to prevent these noises.

Adjust MIC LEVEL and VOLUME.

Avoid pointing the microphone(s) towards the speakers.

When two microphones are connected, turn off the unused microphone.
