● WARNINGS TALL Y lamp
This lamp blinks when the remaining battery voltage becomes low or the remaining tape is near end.
(In shooting mode only)
Blinking Condition Remaining Battery/Tape
Slow blinking • No more remaining battery power.
(1 time per sec) • Remaining tape time is 3 minutes or less.
Fast blinking • Tape has run out.
(4 timer per sec) • Abnormality in VTR.
Memo:
The GY-DV300 is a microcomputer-controlled piece of equipment, which may malfunction due to
external noise or interference. In this case, turn the power OFF, and then turn it ON again.

HEAD CLEANING Displayed in case of video head
REQUIRED! clogging. (Head clogging is
detected and indicated during
edit search in the recording
mode and during playback.)
VTR WARNING Displayed when condensation
(DEW) occurs in the GY-DV300.
VTR WARNING Displayed when abnormakity
(HARD) occurs in the GY-DV300.
VTR WARNING The tape is cut
(TAPE)
Operation : Continues
Remedy : Clean the head with the
special head cleaning tape.

Operation : Attempts to operate are
rejected.
Remedy : Leave the GY-DV300 with
the power turned ON until
the indication disappears.
Operation : Operation stops. All
attempts to operate are
rejected.
Remedy : This condition can be
cancelled by setting the
POWER switch to “OFF”
and then back to “ON”
again. In some cases,
however, the tape may be
damaged. Please consult
the person in charge of
professional video
equipment at your nearest
JVC-authorized service
agent.
Operation : Operation stops.
Remedy : Take out the cassette tape.
