O[BAR] Colour bar/Playback & still button

Pressing this button in the shooting mode switches the setting between colour bar output and camera image output.

Pressing this button in the VTR playback mode starts playback. Pressing this button during playback engages the playback mode.

Pressing this button during playback engages the still picture mode.

P[AW] White balance/Stop button

Used when white balance adjustment is performed in the shooting mode.

To use this button for white balance adjustment, the WHITE BALANCE item on the OPERATION menu screen should be set to

PUSH AUTO.

When this button is pressed, the current white balance setting mode is displayed for about 3 seconds on the LCD screen or the viewfinder screen after which white balance adjustment of the GY-DV300 becomes possible.

The white balance adjustment setting mode is selected by rotating the SELECT dial L. When rotation of the dial stops, the selected

setting mode is displayed for about 3 seconds. When the button is then pressed for 1 second or more, the white balance adjustment starts. [Variable range: PRESET, MEMORY 1, 2, 3]

Memo:

The PRESET mode is fixed at 3200 K (colour temperature).

Even if the AW button is pressed, white balance adjustment is not performed.

Pressing this button in the VTR playback mode engages the Stop mode.

Q[FWD] FORWARD/FF button

Pressing this button in the shooting mode engages playback in forward direction at normal speed for as long as the button is pressed. When the button is released, the recording-standby mode is engaged.

Pressing this button in the VTR playback mode during stop or rewind operation initiates the fast forward mode. Pressing this button during playback, still picture playback, or reverse search initiates forward search mode.
