1FOCUS ring Manual focus ring.

Set the FOCUS switch 5 to “MANUAL” before turning this ring to adjust the focus manually. If the FOCUS switch is set to “AUTO”, this ring will not work.

When the AUTO mode is selected for the iris adjustment, this dial can be rotated to adjust the iris from +3 steps to -3 steps from the auto iris condition. Rotating the dial upward opens the iris, and rotating it downward closes the iris.

2 [ND. FILTER] ND-filter switch

4 [IRIS PUSH AUTO] Iris push auto button

Turns the built-in ND-filter ON or OFF. When the shooting conditions are too bright during outdoor shooting, set this switch to “ON”. This will adjust the quantity of light to approximately 1/32. When this switch is ON, the “ND” indicator is shown on the LCD screen. (See page 24.)

3[IRIS] IRIS adjustment dial

Dial for manual adjustment of iris. To allow iris adjustment with this dial, set the IRIS item to MANUAL on the OPERATION menu screen.

When the MANUAL mode is selected for the iris adjustment, this dial can be rotated to move the iris from fully opened to fully closed. Rotating the dial upward opens the iris, and rotating it downward closes the iris.

Pressing this button when the MANUAL mode is selected for the iris adjustment engages the forced auto iris mode as long as the button is pressed. When the button is released, the manual mode is restored.

When the AUTO mode is selected for the iris adjustment, this button does not work.

5[FOCUS] Focus switch

This is used to switch between AUTO and MANUAL focus adjustment.

Set this switch to “MANU” when the focus ring

1 should be used to adjust the focus.
