Video Recording

Press PLAY/REC to select the

R

Set the recording dial to ! mode.

Q recording mode.

 

The lens cover opens automatically.

S Press START/STOP to start recording.

To stop recording

Press START/STOP again.

To view the last recorded scene Select A while recording is paused. Selecting ; during playback deletes that scene.

To record a still image during video recording

Press SNAPSHOT.

Continuous shooting may be performed by switching the shutter mode.

Approximate remaining time for recording

You can also start/stop recording by selecting [REC] on the LCD monitor. (On-screen recording control)

To change the video quality

Change the settings in [VIDEO QUALITY].

To perform high speed recording Select from H1 to H3 on the recording dial. (p. 22)

To turn on the face detection mode Select .

NOTE

The video recording mode is automatically selected when you turn off the camera and then turn on again.

If [AUTO POWER OFF] in the menu is set to [ON], the camera turns itself off automatically to conserve power when it is not operated for 5 minutes while running on battery.

After recording video for 12 consecutive hours, recording stops automatically.

A new file will be created for every 4 GB of continuous shooting.

If the LCD monitor is turned upside down, is not displayed. Change the setting when the LCD monitor is in the normal position.
