REPLACEMENT OF MEMORY ICs

1. Memory ICs

This TV use memory ICs. In the memory ICs, there are memorized data
for corr ectly op eratin g the video and defl ection c ircuits . When rep lacing
memory ICs, b e s ure t o use I Cs writte n wi th th e init ial values of data.

2. Procedure for replac ing memory ICs

(1) Power o ff
Switch the p ower off an d un plug the p ower cord f rom t he wall ou tlet.
(2) R eplace ICs.
Be sure to use memory ICs written with the initial data values.
(3) Po wer on
Plug th e pow er c ord int o th e wal l ou tlet and sw itch the power on.
(4) C heck and set SY STEM CONSTAN T SET :

It must not adjust w ithout sig nal.
1) Press the DISP LAY k ey an d the PIC TURE TUBE key of th e REM OTE CONT ROL U NIT si mul taneo usly.
2) The SERVICE MENU screen of Fig. 1 will be displayed.
3) W hile the SERVICE MENU is dis played, p ress t he DISP LAY key and PI CTURE TUBE ke y sim ultaneous ly, an d the S YSTEM
CONSTAN T S ET scr een of Fi g. 2 wi ll be dis play ed.
4) Chec k th e setting values of the S YSTEM C ONSTANT SET of Table 1 . If th e value i s differ ent, s elect the setti ng item with the
FUNCTION UP/DOWN key, and set the correct value with the FUNCTION -/+ key.
5) Press the MENU(OK) key to memorize the setting value.
6) Press the INF ORMATION key, and re turn to t he normal s creen.

Verif y the setting it ems of the SERVIC E MENU of Table 2, and
reset whe re necessa ry.
