Playing Tracks in a Group—Group Play

You can play back tracks in a group.

• To make or edit groups, see pages 42 to 50.

On the remote control ONLY:

1 Load an MD including a group(s).

2 Press MD 3/8, then 7.

The source is changed to “MD.”

3 Press PLAY MODE repeatedly so that “MD GROUP” appears in the main display.

The GROUP indicator lights up on the display.

•Each time you press the button, play mode changes as follows:

MD PROGRAM MD RANDOM

Normal play MD GROUP

4 Press GROUP SKIP or GROUP SKIP to select a group.

•GROUP SKIP : Selects group numbers in the increasing order.

•GROUP SKIP : Selects group numbers in the decreasing order.

Ex.: When Group 5 is selected.

5 Press MD 3/8.

The tracks in the selected group are played.

• When the loaded MD has no groups, all the tracks on the MD are played back the same way as in Normal play.

Group play ends when all the tracks in the selected group are played back.

To go to another track in the same group, press ¢ or

4repeatedly.

•¢: Skips to the beginning of the next or succeeding tracks.

•4: Goes back to the beginning of the current or previous tracks.

To go to another group, press GROUP SKIP		or
GROUP SKIP	repeatedly during Group play.

•GROUP SKIP : Skips to the first track in the next or succeeding groups.

•GROUP SKIP : Goes back to the first track in the current or previous groups.

To stop during play, press 7.

To exit from Group play mode, press PLAY MODE repeatedly so that the unit enters another playback mode (Normal play, Program play or Random play mode) before or after play.

•Pressing one of number buttons also cancels Group play and starts Normal play from the track selected by the button.

Repeating Tracks—Repeat Play

You can have all the tracks, the program, a group or the individual track currently playing repeat as many times as you like.

On the remote control ONLY:

To repeat play, press REPEAT during or before play.

•Each time you press the button, Repeat play mode changes as follows:

MD REPEAT ALL MD REPEAT 1

MD REPEAT OFF (canceled)

“MD REPEAT ALL”:

•For Normal play or Random play mode: Repeats all the tracks on the MD.

•For Group play mode:

Repeats all the tracks in a group.

• For Program play mode:

Repeats all the tracks in the program.

The indicator lights up on the display.

“MD REPEAT 1”:

Repeats one track.

The indicator lights up on the display.

“MD REPEAT OFF”:

Cancels the repeat play.

•Ejecting the MD or turning off the unit will also cancel the repeat play.

To stop during play, press 7.
