If a key top has come off

If a key top has come off from the keyboard, put it back in place by following the procedure below.

ÁHow to attach the Enter key, left Shift key or Space key top

1 Take out the disengaged wire rod, and snag it onto the two projections as shown in the figure below.

2Place the disengaged rubber cushion at the position shown in the figure below.

3Align the center position of the key top with the center position of the rubber cushion, and press the key top down until it clicks into place.

4Operate the key with its key top now in place as you would operate it normally, and check that it does not come off.

ÁHow to attach any other key top

The wire rod shown above is provided with Enter key, left Shift key and Space key only. When the key top of any other key has come off, follow steps 2 to 4 above.

Note

As soon as the key top clicks into place in step 3 of the procedure to attach the key top, do not apply any further pressure to it or the key may be damaged.
