About CD indicator

Basic CD Operations

While playing a CD, you can do the following operations.

To stop playback for a moment

Press CD 3/8.
To resume play, press CD 3/8 again.

To locate a particular point in a track during play

Press and hold ¢ or 4 during play.
¢:Fast-forwards the tracks.
4:Fast-reverses the tracks.

To go to another track

Press ¢ or 4 repeatedly.
¢:Skips to the beginning of the next or succeeding
tracks.
4:Goes back to the beginning of the current or
previous tracks.
Before starting play, you can continuously skip or go back
to any track by holding the button.

To go to another track directly using the number

buttons

Pressing the number button(s) on the remote control
allows you to start playing the track number you want.
Ex. For track number 5, press 5.
For track number 15, press +10, then 5.
For track number 20, press +10, then 10.
For track number 32, press +10, +10, +10, then 2.

To change the information shown in the main display
Each time you press DISP/CHARA on the remote control,
the information in the main display changes as follows:
1Current track number
2Elapsed playing time
3Remaining recording time in the HDD, calculated
based on the current setting of the recording mode
4Recording mode currently selected

Programing the Playing Order of the Tracks

Program Play

You can arrange the order in which the tracks play before
you start playing. You can program up to 32 tracks.
On the remote control ONLY:

Load a CD.
2
Press CD 3/8, then 7.
The source is changed to “CD.”

Press FM/PLAY MODE repeatedly until “CD
PROGRAM” appears in the main display.
The PROGRAM indicator lights up on the display.
• If a program has been stored in memory, it will be
called up.
