If you want to go on assigning the track titles, go to step 6 on the right column.

7 Press TITLE/EDIT again to exit from the title entry mode.

If you assign a title during playback

The unit repeats playback of all the tracks of the album until you press ENTER in step 6. When you press ENTER, the unit enters the track title entry mode.

When you unplug the AC power cord or if a power failure occurs before step 6

The editing you have made is not recorded in the HDD.

To assign titles to tracks

On the remote control ONLY:

1 Press HDD 3/8.

The source changes to “HDD” automatically if another source has been selected, and HDD playback starts.

If you do not need to listen to the playback sound, press 7.

2 Select the album where the tracks you want to assign titles to are located (see also page 34).

1)Press SEARCH MODE repeatedly until “ALBUM

No.?” is selected for “SEARCH MODE, ” then press SET.

2)Press the number buttons to enter an album number you want, then press ENTER.

The first track of the selected album now starts playing.

Ex. When selecting Album 4 (it is located in Library 2)

To select the album number, you can also use ALBUM + or ALBUM .

3 Press TITLE/EDIT once, then press SET.

4 Press SELECT ¢ or SELECT 4 to enter the track title entry mode (“TRACK?”).

Each time you press the button, the album title entry mode or the track title entry mode (“TRACK?” or “ALBUM?”) is alternately selected.

5 Press SET.

6 Press the number buttons (or SELECT ¢ / SELECT 4) to select the track you want to assign a title to, then press SET.

• If a title has been assigned, it will appear.

7 Assign the title by referring step 5 on page 49. 8 Press ENTER.

The next track title entry screen appears.

If you want to go on assigning more track titles, repeat steps 6 to 8.

If you assign a title to the last track in an album or if you assign a title while recording, title entry mode is automatically canceled.

9 Press TITLE/EDIT again to exit from the title entry mode.

For the titles of the duplicated tracks using the COPY ALBUM or COPY TRACK functions (see pages 54 and 57)

The original tracks and their duplicated tracks cannot have different names. If the title of the original track or of the duplicated is changed, the other will also be changed.
