How to set the unit to supply RGB signals

The unit cannot output the RGB signals from the SCART connector and the S-video (Y/C) signals from the S-VIDEO jack simultaneously.

When the unit is turned off

1Set the VIDEO SIGNAL SELECTOR to "COMP./RGB."

Note that you must change the switch position while the unit power is off. Otherwise, the changed setting is not effective.

2Turn the unit to on.

The RGB signal outputs from the SCART connector.

NOTES

If you connect to a TV with the VIDEO OUT (VIDEO or S-VIDEO) jack, or the SCART connector, make sure that the NTSC/ REMOTE/PAL switch set to "PAL."

You must change the switch position on the rear panel while unit power is off. Otherwise, the changed setting is not effective.

Connection to a TV equipped with component jacks

You can enjoy high picture quality by connecting the unit’s COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks to the COMPONENT VIDEO IN jacks of your TV with the video cables.

In this connection, make sure that the NTSC/REMOTE/PAL switch set to "NTSC" or "REMOTE."

When the component video input jacks on the TV is of the BNC type, use an adapter to convert a pin jack to a BNC jack (optional).

Set [ANALOG OUT] in the [AUDIO] preference display to [2-CH STEREO] (see page 60).

If your TV has a monaural audio input instead of stereo, you need to use an optional audio cable which converts stereo audio output to monaural.

To improve audio sound quality, connect the AUDIO OUT jacks to your separate audio equipment (see the following pages).
