Notes for inserting and removing me mory cards

•Before you insert a memory card into a card slot, open the door
on the front panel and make sure of the slot type and the
direction of insertion as illustrated.
•Always use the single type of memory card at a time.
When inserting the two or more types of memory card, “CHECK
FOR CARD” appears on the TV screen.
•After inserting a memory card, close the door for playback. If the
door is open, “CLOSE THE DOOR” appears on the TV screen
and the player does not start the memory card playback.
•Stop both the memory card playback and the disc playback
before inserting or removing memory card.
When inserting or removing memory card during the disc
playback, you cannot operate the player temporarily by static
electricity and/or noise. In this case, disconnect the power plug
and connect it again.
•When playing back a disc, always remove a memory card and
close the card door.
•When playing back a disc, the electrostatic noise may restart the
playback from the beginning.
•When inserting or removing a memory card, hold the player
firmly.
•When inserting an xD-Picture card, make sure that the front
edge of the card is facing to the slot properly.
•Make sure the disc playback is stopped when inserting or
removing the memory card.
•When inserting or removing the memory card, pay attention not
to push any button on the player accidentally.
NOTE
Basic operations
When you insert a disc or memory card with groups and files, the
Control display that shows the contents of the medium
automatically appears on the TV screen.
You can specify and play back the desired group/file from the
Control display using the following procedure.
1Make sure that the cursor bar is in the left

(group) column on the Control display.

•If it is in the right column, press 2 to move it to the left
column.
•If you want to select the other medium while both a disc and
memory cards are inserted, press DVD/CARD before
starting playback. When the player accesses a memory card,
the [M CARD] indicator lights on the display window.

Make sure that the TV - DVD switch on the
remote control unit is set to “DV D” when
using the 5/∞/2/3 and numeric buttons
for controlling the player.
