Assembling and disassembling the

battery

Mounting the batteries

!Folding up seat.

!Insert battery and screw it down with the provided screw.

Note:

When using batteries with a liquid electrolyte coat the battery terminals adequately with terminal grease to protect them from corrosion!

!Screw-on the positive pole cable.

!Screw-on the negative pole cable.

!Tilt the seat back.

Taking-out the batteries

When disassembling the battery, the negative pole cable is unscrewed before the positive pole cable.

Checking and topping-up the

battery acid level

Always heed safety precautions for handling batteries!

!Unscrew cellular seals.

!Draw a samble from each cell with the battery hydrometer.

!Return each acid sample to the same cell.

At 20 °C, the acid of a fully-charged battery has a specific weight of 1,28 kg/l.

The acid of a partially-charged battery has a specific weight between 1,00 and 1,28 kg/l.

The specific gravity of the electrolyte must be the same in all cells.

Specific weight under 1,15 kg/l. !If the battery acid level is too low,

top-up the cells with distilled water until the top edge of the plates is just covered with liquid.

!Charge the battery until a specific weight of 1,28 kg/l is reached.

Charging the battery

Always heed safety precautions for handling batteries!

Warranty is valid only when using the batteries and charging units stipulated by Kärcher.

Charge the battery with smallest possible current.

It is essential to observe the instructions provided by the manufacturerer of the charging unit.

!Connect the negative pole lead of the battery charger to the negative pole connection of the battery.

!Connect the positive pole lead of the battery charger to the positive pole connection of the battery.

!Switch on battery charger and insert mains plug.

Note:

Use the KÄRCHER fully automatic charging set 6.654-116.

Fill with fuel

Let the engine cool-down.

!Open the tank cover.

Fill up with "Diesel fuel". !Close tank cap.

Wipe off overflowed fuel and dispose of oil and fuel contaminated cloths ecologically.

Checking fuel lines and hose

Let the engine cool-down.

!Open unit cover.

!Check whether the hose clamps are loose, retighten, if necessary.

!Check fuel lines and hose clamps for damage.

Note:

If a fuel line or a hose clamp is damaged the concerned part must be immediately repaired or replaced.

The fuel system must be vented after a fuel line or a hose clamp has been replaced.

!Close unit cover.
