8 Damper Hold

The Damper Hold setting is used to determine whether sounds such as organ or strings should be sustained continuously when the sustain (damper) pedal is depressed, or whether these sounds should decay, naturally.

Explanation

Off

Organ, string, etc. sounds will gradually decay, even while the sustain pedal is depressed.

On

Organ, string, etc. sounds will be sustained continuously while the sustain pedal is depressed.

Enter the Basic Settings menu (page 47).

Press the e or f buttons to select the Damper Hold setting.

 

 

= Off

 

2. Changing the Damper Hold setting

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Press the c or d buttons to turn the Damper Hold setting on/off.

Press a SOUND SELECT button to exit the Damper Hold setting

 

 

= On

 

and return to normal operation.

 

 

 

9 Four Hands

The Four Hands setting provides an alternative method to enabling the Four Hands Mode function, and may prove useful in teaching environments or situations where the function should be enabled automatically every time the CA93/CA63 digital piano is turned on.

When enabled, all Four Hands Mode control operations are identical to those explained on page 47.
