Shared with Answering Machine

Connect your Kodak EasyShare AiO to the phone line as shown in the illustration if you receive both voice calls and fax calls at the same phone number with an answering machine.

1Disconnect the phone cord from the wall jack that connects your modem to the telephone wall jack and plug it into the port labeled 2-EXTon your All-in-One..

2Connect the phone cord supplied with your EasyShare AiO to your telephone wall jack and the port labeled 1-LINE.

3Set Answering Machine Mode on your All-in-One to On.

4Set your EasyShare AiO to answer the phone after the answering machine. The number of rings to answer for the EasyShare AiO should be greater than the number of rings to answer for the answering machine. You want the answering machine to answer before your EasyShare AiO. For more information on setting the number of rings to answer, see Set Rings to Answer.

The EasyShare AiO will not automatically answer calls. Instead, the answering machine will answer the call and the EasyShare AiO will monitor the line. If the EasyShare AiO detects fax tones, the EasyShare AiO will receive the fax. If the call is a voice call, the EasyShare AiO ignores the call.

Voice/Fax with Modem and Answering Machine

Connect your Kodak EasyShare AiO to the phone line as shown in the illustration if you receive both voice calls and fax calls at the same phone number, and you also have a modem and answering machine connected.

NOTE: Since your modem shares the telephone line with your EasyShare AiO, you will not be able to use both your computer modem and your All-in-One simultaneously. For example, while you are sending and receiving faxes, you will not be able to Email or access the Internet.
