Getting Started

Shared Voice/Fax with Modem

Connect your Kodak EasyShare AiO to the phone line as shown in the illustration if you receive both voice calls and fax calls at the same phone number, and you also have a modem connected on this phone line.

NOTE: Since your modem shares the telephone line with your EasyShare AiO, you will not be able to use both your computer modem and your All-in-One simultaneously. For example, while you are sending and receiving faxes, you will not be able to Email or access the Internet.

1Disconnect the phone cord from the wall jack that connects your modem to the telephone wall jack and plug it into the port labeled 2-EXTon your All-in-One..

2Connect a phone to the Out port on the back of your modem.

3Connect the phone cord supplied with your EasyShare AiO to your telephone wall jack and the port labeled 1-LINE.

4If your modem software is set to automatically receive faxes to your computer, set it to Off.

Your All-in-One will not be able to distinguish between fax and voice calls with this connection. Therefore you will need to answer faxes manually.

When you receive a fax call, press Fax. The EasyShare AiO will answer the call and display Printing Incoming Fax.
