Rings to Answer

You can specify how many rings should occur before your Kodak EasyShare AiO automatically answers an incoming call. This setting only applies if Answering Machine Mode is set to On.

The Rings to Answer setting is important if you have an answering machine on the same phone line as your EasyShare AiO. You want the answering machine to answer the phone before the EasyShare AiO. The number of rings to answer for the EasyShare AiO should be greater than the number of rings to answer for the answering machine. For example, if your answering machine is set to answer in 4 rings and your EasyShare AiO to answer in 5 rings, the answering machine will answer an incoming call first and the EasyShare AiO will monitor the line. If the EasyShare AiO detects incoming fax tones, it will receive the fax. If the call is a voice call, the EasyShare AiO ignores the call.
