•Problem:Acriticallow-batteryerroroccurs,andthecomputerimmediatelyturnsoff.
Solution:Thebatterypowerisgettinglow.Connecttheacpoweradaptertothecomputerandplugit
intoanelectricaloutlet,orreplacethebatterywithachargedone.
•Problem:ThecomputerdisplayremainsblankafteryoupressFntor eturnfromsleepmode.
Solution:Checkwhetheranexternalmonitorwasdisconnectedorturnedoffwhilethecomput erwas
insleepmode.Ifyoudisconnectedorturnedofftheexternalmonitor,connectitorturnitonbefore
resumingthecomputerfromthesleepmode.Whenresumingthecomputerfromthesleepmodewithout
attachingtheexternalmonitororturningiton,andthecomputerdisplayremainsblank,pressFn+F7to
bringupthecomputerdisplay .
•Problem:Thecomputerdoesnotreturnfromsleepmode,orthesleepindicatorstaysonandthe
computerdoesnotwork.
Solution:Ifthesystemdoesnotreturnfromsleepmode,itmighthaveenteredsleeporhibernationmode
automaticallybecausethebatt eryisdepleted.Checkthesleepindicator.
–Ifthesleepindicatorison,yourcomputerisinsleepmode.Connecttheacpoweradaptertothe
computer;thenpressFn.
–Ifthesleepindicatorisoff,yourcomputerisinhibernationmodeorpower-offstate.Connecttheac
poweradaptertothecomputer;thenpressthepowerbuttontoresumeoperation.
Ifthesystemstilldoesnotr eturnfromsleepmode,yoursystemmightstoprespondingandyoumightnot
beabletoturnoffthecomputer.Inthiscase,youneedtoresetthecomputer.Ifyouhavenotsavedyour
data,itmightbelost.Toresetthecomputer,pressandholdthepowerbuttonfor4secondsormore.If
thesystemisstillnotreset,removetheacpoweradapterandthebattery.
•Problem:Yourcomputerdoesnotentersleeporhibernationmode.
Solution:Checkwhetheranyoptionhasbeenselectedtodisableyourcomputerfromenteringsleep
orhibernationmode.
Ifyourcomputertriestoentersleepmodebuttherequestisrejected,thedeviceattachedt otheUSB
connectormighthavebeendisabled.Ifthisoccurs,doahot-unplug-and-plugoperationfortheUSB
device.
•Problem:Thebatterydischargesslightlywhilethecomputerisinhibernationmode.
Solution:Ifthewakeupfunctionisenabled,thecomputerconsumesasmallamountofpower.Thisisnot
