Usingtheacpoweradapter
Thepowertorunyourcomputercancomeeitherfromthelithium-ion(Li-ion)batterypackprovidedwithit,
orfromacpowerthroughtheacpoweradapt er.Whileyouuseacpower,thebatterychargesautomatically.
Theacpoweradapterthatcomeswithyourcomputerhastwobasiccomponents:
1.Thetransformerpackthatconvertsacpoweradapterforusewiththecomputer.
2.Thepowercordthatplugsintotheacoutletandintothetransformerpack.
Attention:Usinganimproperpowercordcouldcauseseveredamagetoyourcomputer .
Connectingtheacpoweradapter
Tousetheacpoweradapter,dothefollowing.Besuretotakethesestepsintheorderinwhichtheyare
givenhere.
1.Connecttheacpoweradaptertothepowerjackofthecomputer.
2.Connectthepowercordtothetransformerpack.
3.Plugthepowercordintoanelectricaloutlet.
Tipsonusingtheacpoweradapter
Youcancheckthestatusofyourbatteryatanytimebylookingatthebatterymeteratthebottomofyour
display.
•Whentheacpoweradapterisnotinuse,disconnectitfromtheelectricaloutlet.
•Donotbindthepowercordtightlyaroundtheacpowertransformerpackwhenitisconnectedtothe
transformer.
•Beforeyouchargethebattery,makesurethatitstemperatureisatleast10°C(50°F).
•Youcanchargethebatterywhentheacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputerandthebatteryis
installed.Youneedtochargeitinanyofthefollowingconditions:
–Whenyoupurchaseanewbattery
–Ifthebatterystatusindicatorshowsthebatterychargeislow
–Ifthebatteryhasnotbeenusedforalongtime
Chargingthebattery
Whenyoucheckbatterystatusandndthatthepercentageofpowerremainingisloworwhenthepower
alarmalertsyouthatremainingpowerislow,youneedtochargeyourbatteryorreplaceitwithacharged
battery.
Ifanacoutletisconvenient,plugtheacpoweradapterintoit,andtheninsertthejackintothecomputer.The
batterywillchargeinabout3to6hours.Thisisaffectedbythebatterysizeandthephysicalenvironment.
Thebatterystatusindicatorwillletyouknowthatthebatteryischarging,andwillalsonotifyyouwhenthe
batteryisfullycharged.
Note:Toincreasethelifeofthebattery,thecomputerdoesnotstartrechar gingthebatteryiftheremaining
powerisgreaterthan95%.
