•If your computer is operating, make sure that it has finished any operations involving devices that are connected to a USB connector. Also make sure that any connection to an Ethernet connector has been disconnected.

•The following illustrations are for the ThinkPad Mini Dock Series 3. The procedure is the same for other docking stations. For port replicators, start with step 2.

1.Make sure that the system lock key is in place and in the unlocked (horizontal) position.
