thepasswordorprovideconrmation.ChecktheDevicestatusboxandmakesurethatthedevice
isworkingcorrectly.Ifnot,clicktheTroubleshootbuttonandfollowtheinstructionsonthescreen.

Solution:Didyouinstalltheoperatingsystemorapplicationprogramcorrectly?Iftheyareinstalledand

•Problem:Thescreenstaysonevenafteryouturnoffyourcomputer.
Solution:Pressandholdthepowerbuttonforfoursecondsormoretoturnoffyourcomputer;then
turnitonagain.
•Problem:Missing,discolored,orbrightdotsappearonthescreeneverytimeyouturnonyourcomputer.
Solution:ThisisanintrinsiccharacteristicoftheTFTtechnology.Y ourcomputerdisplaycontains
multiplethin-lmtransistors(TFT s).Asmallnumberofmissing,discolored,orbrightdotsonthescreen
mightexistallthetime.
Externalmonitorproblems
•Problem:Theexternalmonitorisblank.
Solution:Tobringuptheimage,pressFn+F7andselectthedesiredmonitor.Iftheproblempersists,
dothefollowing:
1.Connecttheexternalmonitortoanothercomputertomakesurethatitworks.
2.Reconnecttheexternalmonitortoyourcomputer .
3.Refertothemanualshippedwiththeexternalmonitortochecktheresolutionsandrefreshratesthat
aresupported.
–Iftheexternalmonitorsupportsthesameresolutionasthecomputerdisplayorahigherresolution,
viewoutputontheexternalmonitororonboththeext ernalmonitorandthecomputerdisplay.
–Iftheexternalmonitorsupportsalowerresolutionthanthecomputerdisplay,viewoutputonthe
externalmonit oronly.(Ifyouviewoutputonboththecomputerdisplayandtheexternalmonitor,
theexternalmonitorscreenwillbeblankordistorted.)
•Problem:Youcannotsetahigherresolutionthanthepresentoneonyourexternalmonitor.
Solution:Makesurethatthemonitortypeandotherinformationiscorrect.Ifnecessary,updatethe

•Problem:Thescreenisunreadableordistorted.
Solution:Makesurethat:
