Checkingforpowerproblems
Ifthecomputerdoesnotturnonwhenthepowerswitchispressed,usethefollowingproceduretohelp
troubleshoot.
1.Pressthepowerswitchtoturnonthecomputer.CheckthepowerindicatorLEDnexttothepowerswitch.
•IftheLEDisilluminated(on),thecomputerpowerisOK.Attempttorunthediagnostics.See“Running
diagnosticsfromtheCDordiskettes”onpage34.
•IftheLEDisnotilluminated(off),gotostep2onpage31
2.CheckthestatusofthepowerindicatorLEDontheAC/DCpoweradapter.
•IftheLEDisilluminated(on),gotostep7onpage32.

3.VerifythatthepowercordisproperlyconnectedtoanACpoweroutlet.
