Removing and replacing a PCI adapter

1.Remove the cover. See “Removing the cover” on page 106.

2.Open and remove the adapter-slot-cover latch and remove the failing adapter.

3.Remove the new adapter from its static-protective package.

4.Install the new adapter into the appropriate slot on the system board.

5.Install and close the adapter-slot-cover latch.

6.Go to “Installing the cover and connecting cables” on page 116.

Removing and replacing the battery

1.Remove the cover. See “Removing the cover” on page 106.

2.Locate the battery. See “Identifying parts on the system board” on page 108.

3.If necessary, remove any adapters that impede access to the battery. See “Removing and replacing a PCI adapter” for more information.

4.Remove the old battery.
