Getting Started
aComputer display
The computer display functions the same as a desktop monitor. The
bScroll Lock
Indicates that scroll lock is activated when the blue indicator is lit. Scroll lock allows some of the keyboard letters to act as direction keys for easier navigation when only a part of the keyboard is required.
cNum Lock
When Num Lock is on, the blue indicator is lit and some keys act as a
dCaps Lock
When Caps lock is on, the blue indicator is lit and all letters are typed in upper case (such as A, B, C); when off, letters are typed in lower case (such as a, b, c).
eDrive in use
Indicates data is being read from or written to the hard disk drive or optical disk drive when this indicator is lit.
fInternal speakers
The multimedia stereo speakers provide a true and powerful effect while you are watching movies or enjoying music.
gKeyboard
The keyboard provides
hPower button
Use the Power button to turn on the computer. To turn off your computer, use the Start menu shutdown options. The Power button also can be programmed to shut down the computer or put it into sleep or hibernation.
If your computer stops responding, and you cannot turn it off, press and hold the Power button for 4 seconds or more. If the system is still not reset, remove the AC adapter and the battery.
