Selecting input mode

You can select the audio input signal type of the set input signal source.

In most cases, setting the input mode to AUTO is recommended.

Select the input mode by pressing IN-MODEseveral times.

Selecting signal source

Press AUX (PIP) several times on the remote control to select the required signal source.

Decoder displays

Depending on the input signal source and the surround mode selected, the indicators on the display of the Sound Projector light up as follows.

PCM When playing back PCM signals.

When playing back PCM or Neo:6 signals.

DIGITAL When playing back Dolby Digital signals.

PL When playing back Dolby Pro Logic signals.

PL When playing back Dolby Pro Logic II signals.

The surround modes are available if another sound beam mode is selected as the stereo playback.

If you select an input signal source (page 19), the surround mode that was used for the previous input signal source selected is retained.

If you switch this unit off and on again, the surround mode used for the previous input signal source selected before switching off is retained.

Surround modes are only available if the sound field programmes have been deactivated (page 22).

If you press the button on the remote control and no surround modes are available, Prohibit will appear on the display of the Sound Projector.

The surround modes are only available if 2-channel signals have been set up. If you try to switch between surround modes when 5.1 channel signals are set up, Prohibit will appear on the display of the Sound Projector.
