2.2Features

This section provides an overview of the PCI-X Interface, the PCI Express Interface, and the FC Interface for the 2 Gbit/s family of host adapters.

2.2.1PCI-X Interface

PCI-X interfaces I/O components to the processor and memory subsystems in equipment ranging from PCs to servers. The PCI-X interface operates as a 64-bit DMA bus master capable of 64-bit addressing.

The PCI-X interface includes the following features:

Full 64-bit DMA bus master

LSIFC929X/LSIFC919X functionality:

Zero wait-state bus master data bursts up to 1 Kbyte

Host adapters comply with PCI Local Bus Specification, Rev. 2.2

3.3 V interface

Serial EEPROM configuration storage

Host adapters comply with PCI-X/133 Local Bus Specification, Rev. 1.0a
