11 Press POWER to turn off the TV/VCR and set the timer recording. The red Record light on the front of the TV/VCR will appear. You must turn off the TV/VCR for a timer recording. If the power is on, TIMER REC STANDBY flashes on the screen two min- utes before the recording is scheduled to begin.
Helpful Hints
•Tape speed details are on page 10.
•With ShowGuard, you don’t have to worry about losing your timer recordings. If the power fails, timer recordings will be restored when the clock is reset. The timer recording will not occur if it was scheduled to take place dur- ing the power failure.
•The videotape must have its record tab (or tape) intact. If the record tab is missing, the TV/VCR will eject the videotape when you turn off the TV/VCR.
