Tuner Setting

●Turn on the VCR and the TV, and select the AV mode on the TV.

●Set the VCR/TV/CABLE/DBS selector on the Remote to “VCR”.

Setting channels automatically

—Auto Channel Set

Use Auto Channel Set only if channels have not been set correctly by the Plug & Play setting. If you want to add or delete channels, use Manual Channel Set (
pg. 14).

		Access Main Menu screen
1 Press MENU.

		Access Tuner Set Up screen
	1 Press @ # to move FUNCTION SET UP TUNER SET UP INITIAL SET UP

the arrow to	TUNER SETCABLE SET UP	DBS SET UP
“TUNER SET UP”,
	BAND	TV
	AUTO CH SET
then press fi or
	MANUAL CH SET
OK.

2Press @ # to move

the arrow to	MENU	OK	SELECT WITH ARROW KEYS
	EXIT	SELECT	THEN PRESS [OK]

“TUNER SET”, then press fi or OK.

3Perform Auto Channel Set

You can automatically FUNCTION SET UP			TUNER SET UP		INITIAL SET UP
set the receivable	TUNER SET			CABLE SET UP		DBS SET UP
channels in your area	BAND				TV
	AUTO CH SET
in the order of their
	MANUAL CH SET
frequencies.
Press %fi to move the	MENU	OK		SELECT WITH ARROW KEYS
arrow to “AUTO CH
	EXIT	SELECT		THEN PRESS [OK]
SET”, then press OK.
NOTES:	FUNCTION SET UP		TUNER SET UP		INITIAL SET UP
	TUNER SET			CABLE SET UP		DBS SET UP
● When Auto Channel			AUTO CHANNEL SET
				SCANNING...
Set is complete,
			PRESS [MENU] TO END
“SCAN COMPLETED”
appears on screen.	MENU	OK		SELECT WITH ARROW KEYS
● If the scan was
	EXIT	SELECT		THEN PRESS [OK]

unsuccessful, “SCAN

COMPLETED – NO SIGNAL FOUND –” appears on screen. Check the connections, then select “RETRY” to start again, or select “EXIT”.

4Return to normal screen

Press MENU.

INFORMATION

The VCR selects the correct band (TV or CATV) automatically during Auto Channel Set.

The selected band will be displayed on the right side of “BAND” on the Tuner Set Up screen.
