SURROUND INSTALLATION

INSTALLING FACING

1.Remove glass. See Page 31.

2.Line up plain or beveled surround with unit opening.

3.Attach surround to unit with six (6) screws provided. See Figures 26 and 27.

4.Install glass.

INSTALLING ON/OFF SWITCH

1.After installing surround, disconnect the on/off switch from wires leading from heater.

2.Insert switch into hole in upper right side of the trim. See Figure 28.

3.Reattach wires. See Figure 28.

FAQ

How do I install the facing on my Monessen Hearth indoor fireplace?

To install the facing, first remove the glass. Then line up the plain or beveled surround with the unit opening and attach it with the provided screws. Finally, install the glass. Refer to Figures 26 and 27 for more details.

How do I install the on/off switch on my Monessen Hearth indoor fireplace?

After installing the surround, disconnect the on/off switch from the wires leading from the heater. Insert the switch into the hole in the upper right side of the trim, then reattach the wires. Refer to Figure 28 for more details.

How should I tape the wires for the on/off switch on my Monessen Hearth indoor fireplace?

Tape the wires to the back of the surround with foil tape. Refer to the installation manual for more details.
