Recording a Voice Name For a Contacts Entry

You can record a voice name for a new or existing contacts entry. A voice name lets you call the contacts entry using voice dial (see page 88).

Note: You cannot record a voice name for an entry stored on a SIM card.

Tip: Make your voice recording in a quiet location. Hold the handset about four inches (10 centimetres) from your mouth, and speak directly into the handset in a normal tone of voice.

Find the Feature

1Press S

M > Contacts

To

scroll to the entry that needs a voice name

2	Press VIEW (+)	display the entry’s detailed view
3	Press EDIT (+)	edit the contacts entry
4	Press S	scroll to Voice Name
5	Press	begin the recording process
	RECORD (+)	The handset displays Press

Record then say name.

6Press

RECORD (+) and say the entry’s name (in two seconds)

The handset displays Press Record then REPEAT name.
