Learning to Use Your Phone
Note: The text mode you select remains active until you change it by selecting another mode.
Use Tap Method
This is the standard mode for entering text on your phone.
Press Mfrom any text entry screen and select the Tap Method menu option.

General Text Entry Rules
Press a number key repeatedly to cycle through its characters. See the “Character Chart” on page 29.
•If you do not press a key for two seconds, the character in the block cursor is accepted, and the cursor moves to the next position.
•The first character of every sentence is capitalized. (Press Sdown to force the character to lowercase while it is highlighted by the block cursor).
•Your phone may support multiple languages. You can switch languages within a message. Press Mto select the text mode and language you want to use.
