Configuring the Cajun P120 TFTP parameters
To configure the Cajun P120 TFTP parameters:
1 Establish a Telnet session with the Cajun P120 (“Establishing a Telnet Se ssion
(Ethernet port or modem)” on page 26 for details).
2 Log in to the Privileged level as follows:
aType login at the CajunP120> prompt.
b Enter the password (the default value is lucent):
Enter password: lucent
The prompt should change to CajunP120-priv#.
3 Enter the TFTP configuration mode by typing the following:
CajunP120-priv#set TFTP
4Type list at the TFTP> prompt
5 You will be asked to enter the TFTP parameters one by one a s follows (for a
detailed explanation of the parameters, refer to “TFTP Configuration Group
(TFTP)” on page 64):
tftp>tftp-op [limited]? Ensure that the value is set to “limited”
tftp>tftp-ip [149.49.42.58 ]? Enter the IP address of the TFTP server.
tftp>tftp-filename [c:\p120\p120.lst ]? Enter the name of the lst file which you
prepared in the previous step, including the full path
(e.g., c:\p120\p120.lst).
6 Once you have entered all the parameters, the CajunP120-priv# prompt will be
displayed. Type WRITE to save the parameters. The following message will
appear on the display:
Writes this configuration into the memory. Dynamic parameters will take affect
immediately. All other parameters will only take a ffect after powering the switch
off/on.
Save the new configuration (y/n)?
Enter Y to save the new configuration.
Start the Software Download
Now that the Cajun P120 is configured, you can start the download procedure:
1 Run the TFTP server on the computer with the Cajun P120 files.
2 Type the command tftp-cmd start at the CLI prompt. This starts the
download.
3 If you wish, you can monitor the download status by typing the command
status at the CLI prompt.
Once the download has finished, you should receive the following message:
FTP transfer has finished successfully
Reset the Cajun P120
In order to complete the download process, you need to reset the Cajun P120
before proceeding.
