This chapter provides information to help you conﬁgure your Model RT328/RH348 router for

Internet access.

Information Checklist

Use Menu 4 of the Manager to conﬁgure Internet access. Before you conﬁgure the router for

Internet access, make sure your ISP (Internet service provider) provides you with the following

information:

• For your router

– IP address of the gateway of your ISP (optional)

– Telephone number(s) of your ISP

– Login name

– Password for authentication

• For your workstation

– IP address of the Domain Name Server (DNS) of your ISP

NETGEAR recommends that you review the information about IP addressing starting with

“IP Addresses and the Internet” on page 1-7.
