General Camera Setup

The Setup Menu

The following menu options can be changed.

	Option	Description	A
		Allows you to select the image displayed as the welcome
	cWelcome	screen when the camera is turned on. Select COOLPIX to	E64
General	screen	display the COOLPIX logo. Select Select an image to use a
		picture taken with the camera as the welcome screen.
		Allows you to set settings related to the camera’s date and
Camera	dTime zone and	time. The Time zone setting allows you to specify the time
		daylight saving time is in effect. When the travel
		zone where the camera is mainly used and whether or not
Setup	date	destination (x) is selected, the camera automatically	E65
		calculates the time difference between the travel
		destination and the home time zone (w), and saves
		images using the date and time of the travel destination.
		Allows you to select whether or not to display information
		on the shooting screen and playback screen. If you select
	eMonitor	Framing grid+auto info, a grid is displayed when
		shooting to help you frame the shot. The default setting is	E68
	settings
		Auto info.
		You can also set the image review settings and the
		monitor brightness.
		Allows you to imprint the shooting date and time on
		images at the time of shooting. The default setting is Off.
	CPrint date	• The date cannot be imprinted in the following	E70
		situations:
		- When using Panorama assist scene mode
		- When shooting movies
