Using A (Auto) Mode

Options Available in the Auto Shooting Menu

In A (auto) mode, the following options can be changed.

On the A (Auto) mode shooting screen MTap the dtab (A11)
Option	Description	A
	Allows you to select the combination of image size and
AImage mode	image quality used when saving images (A64).	64
	The default setting is P 4608×3456.
	This setting is applied to other shooting modes.
			Shooting
shooting	Touch AF/AE, which allows you to set the focus area by	E35
	Select between Touch shutter (default setting), which
q/s/rTouch	allows you to release the shutter by tapping the monitor,
	tapping the monitor, and Subject tracking, which		Features
	moves the focus area to track the registered subject.
	Higher ISO sensitivity allows you to take pictures of darker
	subjects. Additionally, even with subjects of similar
X ISO sensitivity	brightness, images can be taken at faster shutter speeds,	E42
	and blurring caused by camera shake and subject
	movement can be reduced. When ISO sensitivity is set to
	Auto (default setting), the camera sets the ISO sensitivity
	automatically.
	Allows you to select from continuous settings of Single,
	Continuous, BSS (A47), or Multi-shot 16. The default
	setting is Single (i.e., only one image is captured at a	E43
V Continuous	time). In Continuous, while the shutter-release button is
	held down, up to 6 images are taken at a rate of about 1.3
	frames per second (fps) when Image mode is set to
	P 4608×3456.
	Allows you to adjust the colors in the image to suit the
	light source, which can make colors appear as they do to
	the eye. Although Auto (default setting) can be used
W White balance	under most types of lighting, white balance can be	E44
	adjusted to suit the sky conditions or light source and
	achieve more natural color tones in the image.
	Set the flash mode (A55) to c(Off) when white
	balance is set to any setting other than Auto and Flash.
