15.1.87 WAIT_FOR_TONE

WAIT_FOR_TONEor

WAIT_FOR_DIALTONE

Indicatesthat the modem should wait for the connection tone before it begins to

dial thetelephone number. This is normally required if the telephone lineis not

connectedto an AXE station where the connection tone is obtained immediately.

This gives thesame result as a “W” placed firstin the telephone number.

15.1.88 XON_XOFF

Indicatesthat the software flow control, XON/XOFF, should be used when send-

ing a fax. Note that INIT_STRING must be set in co nformity with this.
