For finalized CD-Rs, you cannot add more recordings, place SKIP commands, or remove SKIP commands.

1 Insert the CD-R or CD-RW to be finalized into the CDR-205X.

To stop the finalization process

Display after finalization

For CD-Rs, the display becomes that for CDs. For CD-RWs, the display does not change, except that FINALIZE is added.

Notes:

Never turn off the power or remove the power cord during finalization. Doing so may damage all the data on the disc.

If the power is turned off by mistake or if a power outage occurs, the remaining operations will resume when power is turned back on. However, there are times when the operations are not properly resumed and the disc is not restored.

Never finalize discs that are scratched, dirty, or dusty. Doing so may prevent the process from being properly completed. If the process does not finish in 10 minutes, press the ebutton and abort the process. This disc will not be able to be played with normal CD players.

During finalization, the operation button on the CDR-205X will be disabled.
