Speaker Setup Speaker Configuration

Some of the settings in this section are set automatically by Audyssey 2EQ® Room Correction and Speaker Setup function (➔ 23).

Here you can check the settings made by Audyssey 2EQ Room Correction and Speaker Setup function, or set them manually, which is useful if you change one of the con- nected speakers after using Audyssey 2EQ Room Correc- tion and Speaker Setup function.

Note

These settings are disabled when:

•a pair of headphones is connected, or

•the “Audio TV Out” setting is set to “On” (➔ 49) and an input selector other than HDMI is selected.

Speaker Settings

If you change these settings, you must run Audyssey 2EQ Room Correction and Speaker Setup again (➔ 23).

■Speaker Terminal Assign Front High/Zone2

With this setting, you can specify the speakers con- nected to FRONT HIGH OR ZONE 2 SPEAKERS terminals.

`Front High:

Front high speakers can be used.

`Zone2:

Zone 2 speakers can be used. (Powered Zone 2 enabled).

SurrBack/Front High

With this setting, you can specify the speakers con- nected to SURR BACK OR FRONT HIGH SPEAK- ERS terminals.

`Surr Back:

Surround back speakers can be used.

`Front High:

Front high speakers can be used.

Note

•If “Front High” is selected in the “Front High/Zone2” setting, you cannot select “Front High” here.

Speaker configuration settings only need to be changed if you are not using all of the speakers in this package.

■Subwoofer, Center, Surround

`Yes:

Select if a subwoofer/speaker(s) is connected.

`No:

Select if no subwoofer/speaker is connected.

■Front High*1*2*3

`Yes:

Select if a speaker(s) is connected.

`No:

Select if no speaker is connected.

■Surr Back*1*2*4

`Yes:

Select if a speaker(s) is connected.

`No:

Select if no speaker is connected.

Note

*1	If the “Surround” setting is set to “No”, this setting cannot be
	selected.
*2	If Powered Zone 2 is being used (➔ 54), this setting cannot be
	selected.
*3	If you have selected other than “Front High” in the “Front
	High/Zone2” or “SurrBack/Front High” setting, this setting
	cannot be selected.
*4	If you have selected other than “Surr Back” in the “Surr-
	Back/Front High” setting, this setting cannot be selected.

■Surr Back Ch

`1ch:

Select if only one surround back speaker L is con- nected.

`2ch:

Select if two (left and right) surround back speakers are connected.

•If the “Surr Back” setting is set to “No” (➔ 39), this setting cannot be selected.
