DAperture and Zoom

Aperture is expressed as an f-number, which is the ratio of the focal length of the lens to the effective diameter of the opening (aperture) through which light enters the camera. Large apertures (expressed by small f-numbers) let more light into the camera, and small apertures (large f-numbers) let less light. This camera has a lens with a focal length of 4.6-110.4 mm and an aperture of f/2.8 to f/

5.When the camera is zoomed out, the f-number decreases. When the camera is zoomed in, the f- number increases.
