Enhancing Brightness and Contrast: D-Lighting

D-Lighting can be used to create copies with enhanced brightness and contrast, brightening dark portions of a picture. Enhanced copies are stored as separate files.

1 Choose the desired picture from full-frame (A30) or thumbnail (A71) playback mode and press the dbutton.

The playback menu is displayed.

Choose the c tab when the playback menu is not displayed (A13).

2Use the multi selector to choose ID- Lighting and press the kbutton.

The original version will be shown on the left and the edited version will be shown on the right.

If the playback menu is displayed from a mode other than playback mode, choose D-Lightingto display the picture selection screen (A130). Choose an image to edit and press the kbutton.

3Choose the amount of enhancement using H or Iof the multi selector, and press the k button.

A new, edited copy is created.

To cancel D-Lighting, press the dbutton.

D-Lighting copies can be recognized by the cicon displayed during playback.
