Captures the brightness of such subjects as snowfields, beaches, or sunlit expanses of water.

•The camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame.

Preserves the deep hues seen in sunsets and sunrises.

i Dusk/dawn						OQ

Preserves the colors seen in the weak natural light before sunrise or after sunset.

•Camera focuses at infinity. When the shutter-release button is pressed halfway, the focus area or focus indicator (A8) always lights green; however, focus may not be set for nearby subjects, while the camera focuses at infinity.

•Motion detection (A144) is disabled.

•AF-assist illuminator does not light regardless of the AF assist (A145) setting.

O: For scene modes with O, use of a tripod is recommended. Turn Vibration reduction (A143) off when using a tripod.

Q: Pictures shot in scene modes utilizing Q are processed automatically to reduce noise and therefore take a longer time to record.
