Taking Pictures with Manual Focus

Applicable modes:

Use this function when you want to fix the focus or when the distance between the lens and the subject is determined and you do not want to activate Auto Focus.

1 Set the Manual Focus.

When shooting in Manual Focus, [MF] is displayed on the screen.

Set the focus selector switch to [MF].

1Press [AF/AF#/MF] to display the focus setting screen.

2Press 3/4 to select [MF] and then press [MENU/SET].

Select [AF] to cancel.

2 Press the rear dial to set [MF] to a selected state.

Enabled operation will switch every time the rear dial is pressed.

Rotate the rear dial to display focus range on the screen.

Press 2/1 or rotate the rear dial to focus on the subject.

Using the cursor button is recommended when making slight adjustments.

When you stop operating the focus adjustment, the focus range will disappear after a few seconds.
