Using the Playback Zoom

Rotate the zoom lever towards [Z] (T).

• When you rotate the zoom lever towards [L] (W) after
enlarging the picture, the magnification becomes lower.
• When you change the magnification, the zoom position
indication A appears for about 1 second, and the position of
the enlarged section can be moved by pressing 3/4/2/1.	A
• The more a picture is enlarged, the more its quality
deteriorates.
• When you move the position to be displayed, the zoom
position indication appears for about 1 second.
• Focus point will be enlarged when [FOCUS] is pressed.

Rotating the rear dial to select the picture during Playback Zoom.

•You can switch the displayed image while maintaining the same zoom magnification and zoom position for the Playback Zoom.

Note

•You can also delete the recording information etc. on the LCD monitor/Viewfinder during Playback Zoom by pressing [DISPLAY].

•If you want to save the enlarged picture, use the Cropping function. (P161)

•The Playback Zoom may not operate if pictures have been recorded with other equipment.

•The zoom magnification and the zoom position are canceled when the camera is turned off (including Sleep Mode).

•The zoom position returns to the center in the following images.

–Images with different aspect ratios

–Images with different numbers of recorded pixels

–Images with a different rotation direction (when [ROTATE DISP.] is set to [ON])

•Playback Zoom is not available during Motion Picture Playback.
